Free West Coast Dancing at Loafers this Thursday!

June 17, Deborah and Gary Gibson are opening their Loafers floors to free West Coast Dancing (no cover charge). 

There will be a Charity Benefit at Loafers this Friday.  So there won’t be our regular West Coast dancing at that time.

Because of that change, they are making a special event for us on Thursday. 

Are they awesome or what????

Blues Band plays Tylers

Tom Droege’s blues band is playing in front of Tylers (324 Blackwell St) as part of the Durham Cares "Ride Across America" (RAAM).  They are playing Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:30.   It would be very cool to have some West Coast dancers there.  

Come on out!

Fun facts:  Habitat for Humanity will be riding the bike while they play... so that is cool)

The whole city is coming together to keep a stationary bike going for 24 hours a day from June 12-19 in support of Team DurhamCares and their push through the Race Across America. You can be one of those riders! Help us raise money and celebrate the 18 courageous local non-profit partners who publish their outcome related goals. There will be fun events all week long including celebrity riders, live music, dance, free giveaways, demonstrations and activities with our non-profit partners. We'll also have live trackers on the road team to share their experience from California to Maryland and live coverage from WRAL.

The next upcoming free dance

We had a great turnout for both the Salsa/West Coast dance on Saturday, June 5 and the free Couples Swing Dance on Sunday June 13^th. 

The next upcoming free dance will be when Tom Droege’s band plays for us in the next few months.  Stay tuned for those dates.  They are working on some Creedence Clearwater Revival songs for our enjoyment.  Stay tuned!
