The Power of Infinite Love & Gratitude by Dr. Weissman

Book Review by Laura Rose

The Power of Infinite Love & Gratitude is an inspiring book!  It is a powerfully written book that is so simple to read. The concepts are indeed life changing.

Dr. Weissman takes the reader on a journey to realize that WE are in charge of our health and healing. This book is an introduction to the concept that we are empowered to heal with the power of infinite love and gratitude. That pain, fear, challenges, illness and addiction are life's way of allowing us to connect to a part of ourselves that we might otherwise not have known...in essence, a gift. The book changes your thoughts about being a victim or suffering through life's challenges and empowers you to heal and thrive.

When you read this book you will be able to understand the path that set the scene for degeneration in your life. You may not even be aware of the fears and stress that are stuck in a pattern of unresolved compulsions that affect your organ function and body behavior. You may not know that symptoms and challenges are a warning that can help, if you pay attention to them. You will learn how healing begins on a cellular level, when these techniques are activated. You will understand what a gift it is to be able to actively mediate your mind, and body for optimal health and longevity.

.

The Power of Infinite Love & Gratitude shares the following concepts: - How your body speaks to you in symptoms. - How the power of infinite love and gratitude allows you to heal and thrive. - How to master the game of life 'realizing that we WILL face pain, fear and challenges and how to embrace them with an attitude of gratitude. - The 5 Basics of Optimal Health - what you can do to keep your body and mind healthy and whole. It's very inspiring. I highly recommend this book!

Surviving the holidays with Gratitude.

Joady Lyn Gross

The holidays are fast approaching and for many of us it can bring mixed emotions.  Along with the longing and anticipation for decorative lights, candles and good food there is often a good deal of anxiety over the obligations that can overwhelm the sense of good cheer.  The financial obligations that can make us feel like we are drowning and the family obligations that can make us want to run for the hills and spend the holidays alone in a cave somewhere far far away.  I am here to offer some practical advise for surviving the holidays and finding a sense of gratitude for all we have this holiday season.

Robert A. Emmons of the University of California, Davis  and Michael E. McCullough of the University of Miami call gratitude the “forgotten factor” in happiness research.  They cite that in an experimental comparison, those who kept gratitude journals on a weekly basis exercised more regularly, felt better about their lives as a whole, and were more optimistic about the upcoming week compared to those who recorded hassles or neutral life events. Participants who kept gratitude lists were more likely to have made progress toward important personal goals (academic, interpersonal and health-based) over a two-month period compared to subjects in the other experimental conditions.

The Journey to Gratitude

Moira Beaton

We Scots are not very good at being grateful.  We don’t always recognise the positives and tend to see the glass as half empty rather than half full.

So when I moved house recently, I felt as if I was climbing up a vertical slope with a gale force wind in my face and a 10 ton rucksack on my back.  No, I didn’t move to the top of a mountain.  I moved to an apartment that was even one floor lower than the previous one  - not so many stairs to climb.

Although I‘ve moved house many times in the past, this felt like the worst move ever, worse than moving halfway across the world 12 years ago when I returned to Scotland after 25 years living in the Middle East.  I was probably suffering from selective memory loss, remembering the good bits like the excitement of beginning a new phase in my life and forgetting the bad such as arriving at the airport in typical Scottish summer weather – torrential rain.

The Importance of Gratitude and Appreciation

(especially in these tough economical times)

Maureen C Gharrity

Thanksgiving is a time for family, gratitude and helping others. There is usually a lot food and football involved.  We hear reminders such as: count your blessings, do unto others, and we have so much to be thankful for. At times it is easy to be grateful for all that we have and our many blessings. The birth of a healthy baby, the ultimate gift of life in a liver transplant, a new car, and the opportunity to go away to college are all worthy of gratitude.

Yet, in this period of tough economical times being grateful can be challenging. It is easy to be negative and it can even spread like a wildfire. It can start suddenly, turn into a negative spiral very quickly and take a hold of us.  It seems that all we have to do is read the paper and watch some TV to find the numerous reasons to be fearful and negative
